Delicious cuisine passionately prepared . . .

Guests are treated to surprise bush breakfasts, evening boma barbecues, elegant lodge meals, romantic picnics, and scenic sundowner spots with gourmet treats as the sun dips behind the mountains.

Gondwana Lodge is proud to not only offer a variety of dining venues but also a range of gourmet flavours from the freshest local ingredients we can source or grow.  Head chef Alessandro Di Bortoli hails from outside Venice Italy and trained in London under Paul Merritt from the Greenhouse restaurant in Green Park before finding his love in South Africa.  His dishes are continental in style with an African flare thrown in appealing to a wide variety of tastes and are always delicious and a bit decadent.

Daily set menus are prepared (3 course lunches and 4 course dinners) with a choice between seasonal game meats, fish and Alessandro’s homemade pastas! Don’t leave without trying his famous chocolate brownie of Tiramisu.  Gondwana is very privileged to be able to offer the fantastic wines of the Cape, with food and wine pairings suggested every night as part of the menu. Guests are highly recommended to advise of any dietary requirements and/or allergies at reservations stage.  Children’s menus are provided for lunch and dinner.
