Current COVID-19 Cancellation Policy

June 2020

Existing 2020 Reservations:

  • Amendments of an existing reservation in our system due to Covid-19:
    • A guest may move their 2020 booking later in this year at the original rate regardless of the season.
    • A guest may move their 2020 booking to 2021 and the original 2020 rate will be honoured for the same season for 2021. This will be applicable until 30th of November 2021.
  • If a cancellation is made 30 days or more prior to arrival – 15% of total value of the booking will be charged as cancellation fees and the remainder is refunded.

 

New 2020 bookings from July 1 – October 31 2020:

  • No deposit required until 7 days prior to your stay, this will move to 14 days prior as the alert levels stabilize. 

  • Gondwana Reservations will confirm you booking 7 days prior to your stay and require full payment 5-7 days before your stay.

  • At this time Gondwana or the guest may postpone or cancel their reservation with no penalties as a result of changing SA Alert Level restrictions.

  • As national alert levels decrease our policies may change.  Any changes will be communicated at the time of your booking. 

  • Health and Safety – COVID-19 Compliant 

  • Our Gondwana team is undergoing a comprehensive training program throughout June to ensure everyone’s is trained in all required sanitizing and social distancing measures prescribed for the travel industry.  We will also utilize this training period to have a refresher reboot training on our guest service levels to a top 5 star standard.

 

Any of the above provisions may be withdrawn by Gondwana Game Reserve with notice once travel restrictions have been lifted.

 

New bookings from October 31 2020 – April 30 2021:

  • Guests may cancel without penalty 15 days or more prior to arrival for any bookings travelling until the 30th of April 2021.
  • Any new guest bookings made for 2021 up until the 30th of September 2020, will be honoured at the 2020 rate for the same period.
