Over the last month, the Gondwana Conservation Foundation has hosted Gr 6 and 7 learners from various schools in our community to participate in conservation activities on Gondwana Game Reserve. Our goal is to teach them about conservation not only in a reserve, but how it can apply at home as well. We hope to make an impact and inspire the next generation to join in conservation work and see the possibilities it holds as a career. They have assisted us in removing black wattle from the property and had a great experience seeing a variety of animals. We have already had 80 learners join us over several days and look forward to welcoming a further 100 learners over the next two weeks. The schools that are involved are the following: Isalathiso Primary school, Imekhaya Primary school, TM Ntanda Primary school, St Lukes Primary school and Herbertsdale Laerskool.
