Hibiscus pusillus also known as wild hibiscus is one of the 2 species found in Klein Karoo region. (There are approximately 300 species in this genus.) The flowers can be creamy white, light yellow or pink. The leaves have a rough hard texture. Plants flower best after fire in spring and summer in clayey soils.
