We have just completed a soft refurbishment of all of the Kwena Lodge suites with a special focus on the two privately situated honeymoon suites. We decided it was time to incorporate more colour into all of the Kwena Lodge suites, inspired by the surrounding Fynbos vegetation, and have added antique patterned Kelim rugs underfoot and new bed scatter cushions all in keeping with Gondwana’s warm African organic style. Richard Du Toit prints in distressed frames complete the cozy fireside seating areas. Gorgeous hand cut, glass, mosaic tiles and fun African artefacts and accessories have been added to spruce up the spacious bathrooms and give guests greater comfort while they take in spectacular view from the deep bath. And outdoors, custom made wooden double loungers now offer plush and romantic seating for guests to soak in the awe inspiring Fynbos landscape frequented by wildlife stopping at the 2 nearby waterholes.
The two honeymoon suites have had a complete make over in 2 distinct interior schemes. One is warm and plush anchored by a deep maroon Persian carpet, distressed leather headboard and mustard quilt. The other suite has utilized the latest hand dyed linen fabrics to drape its poster bed and closets coupled with rich scatter cushions and throws and fabulous African accessories and Richard Du Toit artworks.
