Tephrosia capensis is the only one of the 400 species in this Genus that occur in the Klein Karoo region. This is a gorgeous little spreading shrublete that can be up to 30cm tall. The striking flowers are 8mm to 10mm and can be pink or purple. The leaves are pinnate with linear elliptic leaflets. They flower almost all year long and can be found in Grassy Fynbos, Renosterveld and Waboomveld.
